Mentoring 1:1

For Yoga Teachers

RPYT in Macau

Take your teaching skills to the next level

Gain confidence and knowledge to support mothers with Yoga

Do you feel nervous when a pregnant student joins your classes? Are you a yoga, pilates, or fitness certified teacher and looking to expand your skills to nurture and support women during pregnancy and beyond? Or are you a birthworker (doula, nurse, or midwife) who would like to deepen your understanding of yoga practices to help your clients prepare better for the challenges of labor?

My mentoring program 1:1 will give you the tools and the confidence to safely support any pregnant student who wants to benefit from yoga during this special stage of life. Learn the basic guidelines of adapting a yoga sequence for the three trimesters of pregnancy with essential pose modifications to build strength and address the most common complaints, as well as the postures to avoid. We will explore yoga, mindfulness practices, restoration, and breathing as useful tools in pregnancy and in preparation for labor. The sessions can be in-person and online, in the language of your choice: English, Chinese, Portuguese, or Spanish.

Foundations of Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training Testimonials

I would highly recommend this course for those who plan to be pregnant and the yoga teachers who commit to empowering women through this beautiful journey.

I have learned a lot about how to prepare myself for birth when pregnant, what will be the physiological changes, what can be done to smoother pregnancy complications, and so on. The course is very informative. Thanks to Margarida and Eva for explaining it patiently. The class also provides a great atmosphere for us to share our stories and express our feelings about pregnancy without any hesitation. I would highly recommend this course for those who plan to be pregnant and the yoga teachers who commit to empowering women through this beautiful journey.

Macau lacks resources and knowledge in this area.

I am grateful to Margarida and Eva for their teachings, which made me feel less frightened about preparing myself for pregnancy. Macau lacks resources and knowledge in this area. I hope that after attending the mentoring course, I can promote this style of yoga to benefit more local brave women.

The course was rich in content and I benefited a lot.

Thanks to Margarida and Eva for their teachings, the course was rich in content and I benefited a lot from it. I’ve learned about the needs of expectant moms in each trimester of gestation, the importance of a mindful pregnancy to help women better understand their and their babies’ needs, and the breathing techniques to navigate smoothly the progression of labor. Empower pregnant women to have a more positive mindset to endure pregnancy and childbirth challenges, and inform them about the different types of delivery and the physical outcomes, allowing them to have freedom of choice.

I have learned a lot from this course. I always had many doubts and questions about pregnancy, and I thought pregnant women couldn’t do many things.

I have learned a lot from this course. I always had many doubts and questions about pregnancy, and I thought pregnant women couldn’t do many things. On this occasion, I learned about the physiological changes and processes. I gained more knowledge and understanding about what pregnancy is like, and how the hormones affect the body, which relieved my concerns and fear about the process. In the course, we explored theory, practical actions, and homework assignments. The content was rich.

Mindfulness was a very good addition to support the physical and mental health of a pregnant woman. I have been very interested in cultivating mindfulness since years ago when I had my first approach to this practice. It has been a powerful tool to help me with positive changes. Margarida, I admire you, thanks for your humility, openness, compassion, and teachings that highlighted the learning points! Thanks also to Eva for her translation and assistance! I hope to use what I’ve learned to help friends and relatives.
